AA/Alcoholics Anonymous: An AA open-discussion meeting takes place each Wednesday morning from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. year-round in the kitchenette room of Dewald Chapel. This crucial twelve-step process is open to any who need support and encouragement as they face life's challenges.

纪念服务: Memorial Services for alumni, 受托人, 教师, 工作人员, and students take place 在德瓦尔德教堂 at the request of campus community members. Arrangements must be made with the University Chaplain. Tree dedication ceremonies for deceased community members are also available upon request. Please contact the University Chaplain or the Office of Advancement for more information.

壁龛: The University of Mount Union Columbarium is a memorial structure which holds the cremains of campus community members who have reserved a niche. The Columbarium is located within Victoria’s Garden, just south of the Dewald Chapel. To inquire about making arrangements, please contact the University Chaplain.

Prayer and Reflection Spaces

The Fortune Meditation Room:

The Meditation Room is located north of the Myers Sanctuary and is available for prayer seven days a week, 24 hours a day for students, 工作人员, 和老师. For security purposes, access is available only through the Purple Plus card system. This space is occasionally reserved for programs, but ultimately the room is open and available to any campus member as needed.

Interfaith Prayer House:

The Interfaith Prayer House, located at 205 W Simpson St., is open from 4:50 a.m. - 11:59 p.m. and is accessible through the Purple Plus card system. The House contains an interfaith meditation room, 穆斯林祈祷室, a study room for Muslim women, a Kosher Kitchen and a Halal Kitchen. The attached link will guide you through registering access to the Interfaith Prayer House.

Other Chapel Spaces: There are several other spaces located with在德瓦尔德教堂 that can be utilized by campus members, 包括:

• Kairos Room: The Kairos Room is a mini retreat space designed to provide students, 大发游戏app下载 respite from the busyness of campus life.
• Kitchenette: The Kitchenette can be reserved for community meals and other meetings by contacting the University Chaplain. The space is also open during normal hours to any campus member looking to use its amenities such as the refrigerator, 咖啡机, TV, 和沙发.
• Study Rooms: Two study rooms are available to students looking for a quiet place to do their schoolwork. While these rooms can be reserved by student groups, they mostly operate on a first come, first served basis for individuals/small groups doing homework.

校园教堂 is a non-denominational, 现代, Christian worship experience for the entire campus community. Join us as we hear from our chaplain, students, and guest speakers. We will find our center, explore relevant topics and ways to deepen our faith. Stick around for FREE food after every service!

Mindfulness and Meditation Activities

Throughout the semester, there will be opportunities for students to engage in mindfulness and meditation activities sponsored by the chapel. Some activities that have previously offered are:

Muslim Prayer Daily (weekdays)

Services are offered most Holy Days when classes are in session!

精神生活 Organizations

All 精神生活 Student Organizations operate as extensions of an umbrella organization called 精神生活 领导 (SLL). The members of SLL consist of an executive team and representatives from each of the spiritual life student organizations. This group meets once a month on the second Tuesday of the month at 11:15 a.m. 在德瓦尔德教堂 Kitchenette. Their role is to keep the student organizations connected, promote interfaith dialogue and religious diversity, and facilitate numerous collaborative programs and events each semester. Please contact the University Chaplain to get in contact with a specific organization.
